| single parenting,can you and child cope? | | a few people i know are single parents. one has a 7yr old daughter and is now in school . my friend rents a space for her,her daughter and a house help.she works as a call center agent.after work, she would teach her child . her income, barely enough takes care of all their expenses. since the child's conception,her father denied her yet she looks exactly like dad. mom send photos w/c were acknowledge in the first months but later the guy became silent until no more communication whatsoever. the daughter knows that she has a father,seen him in a photo.but that's all there is.how can they cope? | |

in my life. I am a single parent but my parents
have always been beside me. Now, tomorrow I will
be on my own. I feel I need to be more responsible
and careful with my decision making. Anyone out there

| Single Parenting Divorce - Catastrophe for Kids? | | Have you ruined your children's lives when you get divorced? Can Single parenting work? Children go through almost the same pain and process as the divorced parents.
Children feel as divorced as the parents, going through most of the same emotional stages over what is essentially a loss of a parent and family as it was.
Yet their support system of people greatly diminishes at a difficult time.
The custodial parent is out scratching to make ends meet financially and has less time to spend with the child.
Both parents are so tied up in their own emotional needs as a result of the divorce, they fail to assist their children through an emotionally trying experience.
The relative network of Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents, Cousins and such contact is greatly diminished as a result of the divorce.
Outside activities are diminished (such as going to camp in the summer) are reduced because of the financial pinch of divorce....how are you coping as a single parent? have you bought up your child successfully and satisfied their emotional needs? what is your opinion about single parenting? how do you keep your divorce from having an adverse affect on your children? what do you think... | |
