Which Parenting Style Will You Choose??-Authoritative Or Permissive??
Are you a parent? then, which is the best? OR Are You About To Become One? then, which will you choose? We often hear that nasty or uncontrollable kids are results of permissive parenting.. and only military/authoritative parenting style can produce obedient children..Some parents often gets no spare time for their kids often called uninvolved..style While others are over concerned -over protective..style..Both above styles affects the child adversely..Since I'm not a parent,I'll choose a balanced parenting style (Authoritative> + Submissive)What do you think? Teens can also suggest which they feel the best and why?Happy myLotting... Have a nice day/night......
Grossest Parenting Moment
If you are a parent you know what I am talking about. Spit up in your mouth, poop on your pants, boogers in your hair - we'va ll been there. What I want to know is, what is your grossest parenting moment yet?
What's the hardest part about parenting?
Is it the general stress of raising kids? The expense? The lack of freedom? The fact that your house will never stay clean? Each person in each individual situation will think it's something different I'm sure. For me, it's all of the above.. depending on the day. I just finished cleaning up an oatmeal mess the youngest boys made on my sofa. They took 3 packages of raw oatmeal and just dumped it everywhere. Well the clean up isn't what upset me.. it's the fact that my vaccuum was full and I'm on my last vaccuum bag again... and I think I'm now out of oatmeal so the older kids have nothing to eat for breakfast for the rest of the week except cereal (I like them to have a hot breakfast on school days). So, today it's the expense. Kids can be so wasteful (of course it's not on purpose.. so I'm not angry, though I did tell them they're naughty boys). Yes we love our kids and we love being parents... but what do you find to be the hardest part about parenting?
Parenting teens
I am 40 and the mother of 4 kids who are all teenagers now. As they are growing up and becoming more and more independent, I feel proud yet also a sense of loss as they don't need me so much anymore. Sometimes I feel I want to have another baby, but my husband doesn't want to, as he appreciates our growing independence and that we can now go out more as a couple. I guess I will have to wait for grandchildren to come in the next few years! I am looking forward to that stage. So when your kids grow up, how do you cope without little ones needing you all the time?
Parenting: Would you be bestfriends with your child or simply being a parent?
If you are a parent or would be parent what would you do? would you be your child's bestfriend or would you draw the line on being a parent? What are the pros and cons of raising your child like your bestfriends or bringing up your child wherein you are always a parent? What were the things you didn't like your parents do? what did they do that you want to incorporate in your own parenting style?
will you be embarass to take lessons on parenting?
hi. when we see something abnormal in children, we seek medical help for them or put them in rehabilitation center in a hope that they will change. but if someone tells you that you need lessons on parenting, will you be embarrased. is it difficult for parents to accept that even they can be wrong or blamed for child's misbehaviour? how will you react if someone tell you that?
Governmental Interference in Parenting
I'm a juvenile officer. I was in court earlier today for a case and before my case was heard, I listened in as a woman was being crucified on the stand because she's a Jehovah's Witness and that particular religion shuns most modern medicine treatment. The child who was about 16 was sick, but rather than bring him in, she prayed for him to get better. He didn't and a neighbor called DHS and mama got arrested for child abuse and the kid got taken into custody. My thoughts:My husband and I have a 2 year old daughter. We have decided against vaccinating our daughter. We both feel that the vaccines pose more problems and complications than the diseases they prevent. When was the last time we had a case of polio or an outbreak of the mumps? We're pumping our kids full of toxins for no reason. My husband is an APN, so we've done our homework. Some of the pediatric doctors/nurses are in agreement with us on this - some aren't. Whatever. So, seeing as how my DH and I are anti vaccine, what's to say someone reports me for not vaccinating my daughter, then reports me and my DD gets taken away by state custody and given the vaccines we're...
What is the most important part of parenting?
When it comes right down to it which do you think is most important: being a good role model, love and respect, discipline,or just keeping them safe? A merging of all of these?
