| | over-rated; mother's day and father's day | | I love my parents so much. If it could only be father's and mother's day everyday, I would love that. In fact, I believe that it should be everyday. But because of the MARKETING STRATEGIES of establishments (MALLS, RESTAURANTS, HOTELS, etc.), they make use of these holidays to in fact get money from the customers. Of course its business. Being a marketing major I would know this. But the question is, don't you get fed up with all these commercials saying, "go to this restaurant with your dad, you'll get this for a discount.. etc?" what do you guys think? Do marketers make use of these occasions too much, that it becomes over-rated/over used already? | |

| | Happy father's day everyone | | Today is father's day, and honestly, I don't have any special plan for my father, nor did I prepare any gift for my father either. Am I not less grateful to my father who raise me? My mom suggested me to take my father out for dinner tonight. I absolutely agree with this idea. At least something I can do to show my father how I appreciate his efforts toward this family and all of us as his children. So, what is your gift and special plan for your father? | |

Optimistically anxious...
I'm having a good time but wish the phone would ring.
I'm ready to go home but I dread the nine hour drive.
I know life from this moment on will never be the same and I'm excited about the possibilities that await...
I am hopelessly in love and have never been happier in my life.
I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings.
Today we are...
Heading out to the beach but not for long. There is a heat advisory here. Highs of 101 degrees today.
After that we're off to lunch somewhere, either Peg Leg Pete's, or Sidelines or Flounders.
After that we'll spend the rest of the day on the beach once the heat wanes.
Then, when it gets dark I start getting anxious about my drive home. I'll leave in the morning around 4:00 AM. It's a solid 9 hour and 600 miles of driving.
